This is one of the first crosses that I ever did. The name is from the 9th novel by Charles Dickens. See grex-mate Uriah Heep.

This is stiff and spiny like its seed parent, Ae. distichantha, but has a rosy scurf that it gets from the pollen parent, B. distachia. This can be grown in major sun and is slow to flower but does produce pups before it flowers.
